Why not start early in the week so you can research some of the questions you have and do a better job of learning the Parsha.

  1. My kids and I start the first aliyah of each parsha during the last hours of each Shabbos. That way we are finished by Thursday or Friday with a little time to review before Shabbos. Using this method makes it a very low-pressure situation and very enjoyable.

  2. Since the Parsha is divided conveniently into seven aliyos, it csn be studied one per day in the preceding week.
