The Beyond BT Passaic Shabbaton is Coming – Hope To See You There!

We are about 4 weeks away from the Beyond BT Passaic Shabbaton on July 20-21, Shabbos Chazon (the Shabbos before Tisha B’Av). We hope that everybody who can, will join us. Please try to reserve early so that you are assured of a place. The rooms where the meals are held have about a 100 person seating capacity and we will not be able to exceed the limits
The pricing per person for the meals is as follows:
$35 – Adults
$25 – 13-17
$20 – 6-12
$10 – 2-5
$0 – 0-1
Friday night meals will be at the host houses and we will be having an Oneg Shabbos on Friday night. We’ll be having catered meals together for Shabbos Lunch and Shalosh Seudos.
We will find accomodations for anyone coming from out of town.
The meals will be held at Congregation Ahavas Israel -181 Van Houten Avenue, where we’ll also be davening.

Why not find out from the Beyond BT readers which cities or areas they live in? Enough may live in some places other than NY/NJ to make a Shabbaton there possible from time to time.

For example, people coming to your website, or possibly people entering comments, can be prompted somehow to click on a city or region in a displayed list.

Bob, Shabbatons in various cities are a great idea and something we have on our projects list.
Getting feedback on the site is a little more difficult.

When I go a website for an industrial manufacturer, it often prompts me at the outset to enter the country or region I’m in. They do it to route potential customers to the right sales office or division.
In your case, entering such info would be voluntary, and those who declined to do it could still access the site.

I’m pretty sure we won’t get enough data points to make a decision. Even if we did, the fact that people visit a site does not mean they will go to a Shabbaton. Many people like anonymity.
However, if anyone is interested in running a Beyond BT Shabbaton or other event let us know and we’ll mention it here and then take it from there.
